SD-ECOFURNITURE project is an European project financed by European Commission through Life Long Learning Program – Leonardo da Vinci – Transfer of Innovation, which started in 10 February 2010 and running 2 years.

The aim of project is to create a new qualification and innovative training course which can help the companies from furniture chain to acquire new competencies in manufacturing ecological products according to sustainable development.

The project is based on 3 areas of transfer of innovation:

Romanian research innovation in the filed of ecological furniture
Transfer among the partners knowledge, materials and previous project results
Methodologies and innovative practices in the field of vocational education

Final outcome

- new qualification and certification in eco-furniture field
- create the background for SD in all areas: environmental, economic and social.

Previous results

identify the specific needs for producing ecologic furniture or components
create the curricula and the modules
establish the certification rules
pilot certification of minimum 15 Romanian managers and 3 for the partner's countries
review the training course
dissemination and exploitation of results.
